Born in the Bahamas and growing up across three different continents, James is a passionate advocate of intercultural awareness.

His working life as an educator has seen him teach English and train teachers in China, Malaysia and Ecuador where he currently resides with his South African wife.

Successfully trained candidates for Cambridge English Qualifications (young learners, secondary, adult), prepared teachers for the TKT certificate (Teaching Knowledge Test) and currently delivers extensive teacher training sessions on a wide range of ELT methodology topics and life competencies for the 21st century. He is also a sought-after speaker at a number of educational conferences.

He was a regional manager for Cambridge University Press handling all operations for Ecuador’s southern and coastal regions. He gives training sessions for leading ELT publishers Cambridge University Press and National Geographic Learning along with a number of local education distribution companies. He is also a certified speaking examiner for Cambridge Assessment English (Pre-A1 to C2) and has a CELTA.
